COATS NEEDED: Katy Schools collecting new or nearly new coats for students

Schools collect coats for Wolfe Elementary students who lost their homes in Harvey

Teachers at Wolfe Elementary have identified 200 students who lost their homes in Harvey and are in need of winter coats. Tompkins High School PTSA, Tays Junior High PTSA, and Shafer Elementary PTA are teaming up and rounding up “new” or “nearly new” coats for students who lost their homes in Harvey.

Each coat donated will be matched to a student in need. They will be collecting all next week in various sizes for elementary age students.

Drop off locations

  • Wednesday, November 1st, 12:30-2:30pm @ Tays Junior High School

  • Thursday, November 2nd, 8:00-10:00am @ Shafer Elementary

  • Friday, November 3rd, 7:00-9:00am @ Tompkins High School

  • Any time @ Wolfe Elementary (502 Addicks-Howell Rd., Houston, TX 77079)

Drop off details

WHEN YOU DROP OFF THE JACKETS: Please include your name, the gender, and coat size (i.e., "Laura Lowe, Girls Size 8"). This will allow us to quickly inventory as the jackets arrive.

No sweatshirts or hoodies please

The group is looking for new jackets - NOT hoodies or sweatshirts. You may drop your donations off at any of the locations above on the outlined dates. If these options do not work for you and you would still like to donate, please contact Laura Lowe at president@tompkinshsptsa.org.
