Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to 911 call from a Katy home near Cardiff Junior High. A 17-year-old male has been detained after his twin sister was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple stab wounds.
A 17-Year-Old Girl is Dead
Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a 911 call from a Katy home at the 4100 block of Brown Meadow Court, a subdivision off of Clay Road and near Cardiff Junior High. A 17-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
Twin Brother Detained
“The possible suspect, also 17, is believed to be the female’s twin sibling,” tweeted Harris County Sherriff Ed Gonzalez around 6:00 a.m. this morning. “The male is detained.”
Authorities believe that the male twin (now detained) made the 911 call and was found performing CPR on his sister when deputies arrived.
Deputies revealed in a press conference that a knife was recovered from the scene, but the case is still under investigation.
Authorities also revealed at the press conference that no motive for the stabbing has been determined at this time.
No names have been revealed at this time. This case is still under investigation.
