Katy Pedestrian Killed by Suspected Drunk Driver Near Mason Road

A Katy pedestrian was hit by a suspected drunk driver earlier Sunday morning. The driver was hit at the 21800 block of the Katy Freeway and Mason Cross Creek Drive after 12:00 a.m.

Individual Killed by Suspected Katy Drunk Driver

An individual was hit by a suspected drunk diver around 12:35 a.m. this morning. The driver of the 2016 Ford Edge was taken to the hospital.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says that the pedestrian was hit before the vehicle came to a stop on the East embarkment. According to the authorities the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was airlifted to a local hospital after the crash. She is reportedly a 21-year-old woman.

According to Sheriff Gonzalez, the female drive was reported to be driving under the influence.

The happened outside Fadi’s Mediterranean Grill.

As of today, Keyana Chestnut (21) has been charged with Intoxication Manslaughter, according to Sheriff Gonzalez.
