4 Times a Charm

Katy residents will finally get their chance to belt out, “I’m Proud to be An American” at tonight’s Lee Greenwood concert. The event has been rescheduled 4 times over concerns of area Covid numbers.

Praise for Greenwood

“Our original date was in March of 2020,” says Yvonne Arceneaux, Willow Fork Drainage District’s Park Director. “Mr. Greenwood and his team have been a dream to work with through all of this. I have been working with celebrities since 1992 and I have to say he, his team, and local booking agent Gary Moore are by far the most easy going and kindest I have ever had the pleasure to work with.”

The concert is tonight from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Willow Fork Drainage District’s Central Green Park in LaCenterra.

The event is hosted by the Willow Fork Drainage District and Cinco Ranch M.U.D.

We are also teaming up with Katy Christian Ministry for ‘Pack the Park - Pack the Pantry’,” says Arceneaux.“Entry is a non-perishable food item to go to KCM’s food bank.”

Watching the Weather

WFDD is keeping a close eye on the weather.

“If we have lightening within a 12-mile radius of Central Green during sound check and/or show time, we will have to cancel the event,” says Arceneaux.
