Dress up, or not, and get out on the town with your special person. We’ve even included a key to help you navigate your desired level for romance.
Ambiance combined with amazing signature dishes
The newest addition to the Katy culinary scene, this South African fusion restaurant has diners positively raving about the sensational food, exotic ambiance, and great drink specials. Relax under romantic lighting as you sip a Madagascar Mule or a glass of one of their full-bodied red wines from the Western Cape of South Africa. They have an impressive wine and cocktail menu with libations from across the globe that will suit any palate. Exchange light-hearted banter with your sweetie over a Charcuterie cheese board to start, and make sure at least one of you tries their signature espetada. They have lots of delectable desserts and even several award-winning vegetarian dishes.
Casual food in a pub-style atmosphere
In the mood for a more casual, yet lively date night? Head to Baker Street in LaCenterra for live music and drink specials set in an authentic pub atmosphere. However, this isn’t your average bar food! Kick off your evening with the macaroni & cheese bites or the crispy cod strips served with the traditional malt vinegar. Try a Guinness alongside the flavor-filled shepherd’s pie or keep things spicy with the fireball glazed bbq ribs. Try your hand at darts or a run of the billiard room for a little friendly competition to keep things exciting.
An intimate Italian setting for two
Hailed as one of the most romantic restaurants in Katy, DaVinci’s small and intimate setting is the perfect place to celebrate those special milestones. The menu rotates daily, only offering the most fresh and unique dishes to their loyal patrons. Expert staff will take you through their specials and thoughtfully suggest the perfect wine for the occasion. Speaking of celebrations, DaVinci’s is known for their exquisite desserts, so make sure to save space! Reservations are highly recommended.
Deck or indoor dining in rustic elegance
This Open Table Diner’s Choice winner prides themselves on their mesquite grill over an open flame. Located in nearby Fulshear, this casual restaurant with deceptively creative dishes is the perfect date night for unwinding on their outdoor patio and enjoying the thoroughly Texas music and setting. You can’t go wrong with the fire-roasted chips and salsa or their signature mesquite grilled oysters topped with a buttery three cheese blend. The plate-sized chicken fried steak smothered in cream gravy is plenty for the two of you to share, or splurge on the braised drunken short rib over asiago grits. Daytime date? Check it out for brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., now serving biscuits and gravy and cinnamon toast crunch French toast.
Fast, friendly and delicious dinners
A cozy, intimate indoor/outdoor concept restaurant just a short drive away from Katy will give every couple a much needed, mini-getaway. Catch a gorgeous sunset on the outdoor patio while you sip a made-to-order sangria or seasonal beer and share the Chef Dekker's Chile Pequin salsa with zesty ranch chips. Diners rave about the pork chop drizzled in apple butter, the comfort of the outdoor patio (even in Texas weather), and the fast-friendly service. The parmesan fries and teriyaki chicken with shrimp are also popular. Tables are first come, first serve.
Fajitas and margaritas for two please
Grab dinner and drinks with your honey at this popular Tex Mex spot in the heart of Cinco Ranch. Without a doubt, you have to try one of their premium, signature margaritas like the Beerchelada Rita, Mojita Rita, or the Cucumber Spicy Rita. Grab a spot at the bar or take a quiet booth in the back on date night and enjoy soft lighting and a warm, friendly atmosphere. If you make it out on a Thursday, they have live music for your enjoyment. A must try here is definitely the queso flameado appetizer, and some of the popular entrees include the fish tacos, fajita platters, and enchiladas flameadas.
Two local locations with great food and drinks
Local Table is located in the Villagio Town Center and serves American food with a Mediterranean twist. Perfect for a romantic date night or even family date night with the kiddos in tow. Have one of their impeccable salads, a main entree such as their super popular mixed kabobs or honey glazed ginger salmon, or go home-style with the delicious meatloaf. If you can splurge on a nightcap, head next door to the new Local Bar where there is live music every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The Bar is a fantastic venue to enjoy daily specials, delicious appetizers, pizzas, burgers, and gourmet hot dogs, with a craft beer or signature cocktails from the ultra-talented mixologists.
Italian music and delicious menu options
This little gem is tucked back in an inconspicuous strip center but as soon as you walk in the doors, you are transported to old world Italy. At Sapore, every dish is created using only the finest ingredients from the traditional lasagna to the decadent osso bucco. The diverse and extensive wine list is sure to engulf the senses and compliment your dinner selections. While dining, you are encompassed with the soft glow of candles and the sweet serenade of Italian music. The staff at Sapore are highly trained in customer service and strive to create the most intentional and memorable dining experience every time.
Romance with a Cajun flair
The fourth signature restaurant of the TaD’s group, this unique concept opened in 2016. If you and your love are looking for a spicy date night with a Cajun flair, this is the place. Kick things off with their signature seafood appetizer, offering a trio of fried alligator, fried shrimp, and catfish bites. Follow up with their massive 16-ounce Cajun angus ribeye topped off with the famous crawfish etoufee. You can’t go wrong with gulf snapper Pontchartrain or melt-in-your-mouth stuffed shrimp.
