Festival season is finally upon us! Here's a list of all the festivals you can attend in Katy and Greater Houston this fall.

The Fort Bend County Fair has grown into one of the largest and most successful fairs in Texas. This year’s theme, “Honoring Volunteers – Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow,” is a tribute to the many volunteers who make the fair possible year after year. The event includes a BBQ Cook-Off, live entertainment performances from Texas country legends like Kevin Fowler and Kyle Park, games and booths, as well as the naming of the Fort Bend County Fair Queen.

Sept. 30 - Nov. 12 Brookshire
Open to the public every weekend of the fall season, families can pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, get lost in the corn maze, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy farm-themed attractions like The Barnyard, Sliiiiide Mountain, and Rascal's Roundup.
Oct. 1 - Nov. 1
Hockley
Hitch a hay ride and see over 85 scarecrows, and thousands of pumpkins. Barbecue sandwiches are available or attendees can bring food and have a picnic. Admission is$15 per person, but with a group of 15 or more admission is $8 per person. Every child with paid admission gets a free pumpkin.

Be Greek for a day with live entertainment, cathedral tours, food, and games and activities for children of all ages.
Oct. 7 - 8
Brooks Lake at Fluor | Sugar Land
Families can watch different teams paddle and race to
the finish line on dragon-like boats. There is a new race
to enjoy every 15 to 20 minutes. Enjoy lion and dragon
dances, martial arts, and tai chi performances. Live music will create an exciting atmosphere and food vendors will also be available. Shaved ice is a popular treat for many at this event. Admission is free.
Oct. 14 - 15 Historic Downtown Katy
Enjoy hometown family fun hundreds of vendor booths, live music, carnival rides, and more. The festival will be open from 10 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, and from 12 to 6 p.m. on Sunday. You can find info on music acts, and admission prices here.
Oct. 20 - 21 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
George Ranch Historical Park, Richmond
Families will learn about 150 years of Texian history at this
festival. Witness battle reenactments, live entertainment,
and participate in hands on activities. Food and crafts
will be available. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for
children. Kids ages 4 and under are free.
Oct. 21 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Bridgeland | Cypress
Headlining this year will be The Super Collies, as featured on America's Got Talent. There will also be appearances from stage acts like the Dynamo Dogs, Houston Disc Dogs, and the Amazing Blake. Kids can participate in activities such as pumpkin decorating, sand art, face painting, balloon making, and trick-or-treating. Admission is free.
Oct. 21 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Cross Creek Ranch | Fulshear
The biggest creative collection of scarecrows will come
to life at this festival. Families will be entertained with a
carnival, food trucks, apple bobbing, face painting, pumpkin
decorating, and more. Admission is free and open to
the public and carnival tickets are $5. Sign up online to
participate in the scarecrow contest. There will be cash prizes
as large as $1,000 for the most creative scarecrow.
Fall Fest Oct. 27 6 - 9 p.m. CrossPoint Church - Westgreen Campus
They will have lots of food, attractions for all ages, free balloon and henna artists, a Halloween Maze, life-sized Candyland, carnival games, and lots of giveaways!
Brazilian Food & Music Festival Oct. 28
11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Wildcatter Saloon | Katy, TX
This family-friendly event is a great opportunity to celebrate Brazilian culture and experience new foods, awesome live music, crafts, Brazilian costumes, and more. Entry is $5 and food prices will range from $1 to $30. Cash and credit cards accepted.
Oct. 29 4 - 8 p.m.
Sugar Land Town Square | Sugar Land, Texas
Spooky witches, superheroes, and princesses are all welcome to join in on the fun and frights at Halloween Town. Bring the whole family, friends, and pets to this festive event at Town Square. There will be a costume contest for kids, toddlers, and pets and winners will receive a spooktacular prize! Remember not to dress too gruesome or scary, as this is a family event. Admission is free.
Nov. 4
10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Sugar Land Town Square | Sugar Land, Texas
A variety of cultural traditions will be seen, shared, and celebrated at this lively festival. Different cultures will have showcase booths, student groups
and local organizations will provide musical and dance
performances. International cuisine will be available.
Admission is free.
Pecan Harvest Festival Nov. 19 12 - 8 p.m. Downtown Richmond, TX
The popular Pecan Harvest Festival will be held in Historic Downtown Richmond and highlights the rich history of pecans in Fort Bend County. There will be a Kidz Zone, hayride, artisan Vendors, Farmers Market, Beer & Wine Garden, Baking Contest, to a Classic Car Show. Pack up your picnic blanket, and bring the entire family to our second annual Pecan Harvest Festival of Richmond, Texas. Free to the public.
