Jordan Davenport of Katy was last seen Saturday, October 27 in the Cypress Towne Lakes area. The family has confirmed that the body discovered in the Towne Lake is his. Homicide investigators are looking into the suspicious nature of his death.

Davenport, 29, is the father of three girls ages 13, 8, and 3. He attended a Halloween party on Saturday in the neighborhood and no one heard from him after he escorted a friend home. His family grew concerned and started posting fliers and spreading the search for him on social media. They reached out to Katy Magazine and we joined the search by making a social media post.

Concerns grew when Davenport failed to report to work, at an AT&T store on Monday, He was last seen at the Boardwalk in Towne Lake on Saturday around 8 pm. Around that time residents reported seeing a man of his description in their back yard. They followed him and chased him up to the bridge near the lake and lost sight of him around there.

"How do you tell kids that their daddy's gone? How do they understand it, you know?" said Davenport's ex-wife, who wishes to not be named. "Jordan was loved by everyone around him. He would never hurt a fly, literally because he was scared of bugs."

Davenport is a 2008 graduate from Mayde Creek High School. "Everyone is grieving, everyone that he touched, everyone that knew him," says his ex-wife and the mother of his children. "He was a happy conservative person."

The investigation is ongoing. "And we want justice for him," states his ex-wife. "He didn’t deserve to go that way. He deserved to live a long life with his kids and family."

The following Facebook post was seen by many over the weekend. The details seem to fit the time frame of when Jordan was in Towne Lake and description of him. Police have been made aware of the situation and are looking into the story. The Facebook post, as well as accounts for the individual and Towne Lake Fast Action Response Team, have since all been taken down.
