Recycle Your Christmas Tree and Old Lights in Katy and Houston

Christmas has come and gone in Katy, and that means it's time for clean up. Here are a few places close by to recycle Christmas trees, old lights, and decorations that won't make it to next year.

City of Katy Pick-Up

They will pick up trees for those who reside in City of Katy limits on January 3 and January 8, 2018. 

Bear Creek Park
3535 War Memorial St., Houston

 

Just follow the signs to the bins marked for tree recycling. 

Republic Services Pick- Up
Tree trimmings must be less than 2” in diameter, cut into 4-foot lengths and tied neatly in bundles not to exceed 40 pounds. 

George Bush Park
Katy, Texas 77450
 

Drop off your tree at George Bush Park and it will be recycled for free. 

 

Living Earth Katy West
27733 Katy Fwy.

 

Two miles west of Grand Parkway, drop off your tree for free recycling. 

 

Living Earth Richmond

Drop off your tree for free recycling near Pitts Rd. and FM 359 in Richmond. 

 

Houston Zoo
6200 Hermann Park Dr., Houston

Deliver your holiday string lights to the main entrance of the Houston Zoo before January 14, 2018 in the large, red bin, and they will be responsibly recycled.
