Daniel Colbert, 34, a TXDOT employee and a volunteer firefighter for the City of Pattison was arrested yesterday on allegations of sexual assault of a woman at the Walmart store near Katy Mills.

According to police, Colbert allegedly grabbed a woman and pulled her underwear down in the parking lot of the Walmart store near Katy Mills Mall on January 5. On that date a witness came forward when she encountered the distraught victim who said a man had just pulled up her dress and pulled down her underwear. The woman was visibly shaken and the police were immediately called.

Colbert is also a suspect in connection with an incident of attempting to take photos up a woman's skirt last October at Buc-ees on the Katy freeway. Charges have yet to be filed in this case but may be forthcoming.

Colbert allegedly follows his victims to their vehicles before proceeding with his crimes.

Although he was not caught in the act, he was recognized by someone who turned in a tip which led to the man's arrest. Colbert has been charged with attempted sexual assault and is being held in the Grimes County Jail in Anderson, Texas
