Mark your calendar to attend a huge party at Willow Fork Drainage District's Central Green Sunday, July 21 in LaCenterra. The free, family-friendly 7th Anniversary celebration promises exciting activities and entertainers, featuring a Beatles tribute band.
This Sunday from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm, the Willow Fork Drainage District’s Central Green welcomes the Katy community to commemorate their seventh birthday at LaCenterra in Cinco Ranch. Families can enjoy free performances, games and kid-friendly activities.
British Invasion in Katy
The headliners of the British-themed celebration are “The Fab Five” Beatles tribute band. Since 1990, the group has built up an impressive repertoire of Beatles hits and B-sides as well as well-known hits from other ‘60s and ‘70s artists. They group is has also won the Houston Press Music Awards for cover/tribute bands five times.
"We are lucky to live in the most culturally diverse community in the nation." says Yvonne Arceneaux, Parks General Manager for Central Green. "We love to highlight up to five countries per year showcasing the beautiful music, dress, food, dance and culture that each country has to offer. This is our first time to feature England."
Party guests of all ages will be entertained by Bruce Manners Magic and Comedy, British dancers, Baby Shark and Stilt performers too. The event will also include a special appearance from Katy film and television actor Evan George Vourazeris, from the hit Netflix show “Ozark.”
Families can set up lawn chairs or a blanket on the green to watch the performers. They can also participate in a dance contest, trivia and play corn hole. Activity booths around the green will have games, face painting and much more. Plus, local businesses will be offering free passes and other prizes.
Fish City Grill will be serving Fish and Chips and have fun prizes too.

Established in 1985, Willow Fork Drainage District (WFDD) constructs, maintains and operates drainage and recreational facilities to preserve and enhance the communities within its boundaries.
