A vehicle was taken at gunpoint in an aggravated robbery at the Kroger located on FM 1093. The victim was not harmed and authorities apprehended the suspects involved.

Approached at Gunpoint

At around 10:50 pm on Thursday, a shopper loaded his groceries into his 2014 BMW at the Kroger at 25050 FM 1093. Three black males approached him and demanded his vehicle while pointing a handgun at him. The car owner gave them his BMW and ran inside Kroger where he called 911.

Vehicle and Suspects Located By GPS

"The vehicle was equipped with GPS and we determined the car was on I-45 near Hobby Airport," says Chad Norvell of Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office.

Houston Police Department officers were able to locate the vehicle. It was recovered at Fairmont Parkway and Beltway 8 after a short pursuit. All suspects were arrested and remain in custody.

Juvenile Suspects

All three suspects are juveniles. “It’s unfortunate these kids have already become criminals" says, Sheriff Troy Nehls. “I hope Harris County keeps them locked up so they don’t terrorize anyone else."

Shoppers Must Be Vigilant

Authorities always advise shoppers to be alert and vigilant when in parking lots. "Everyone should stay off their phones while walking in and out of stores and be alert" says, Norvell. "If they see something suspicious, go back inside of the store."
