For 13 years, Central Green Park has entertained Katy area families with live music, programs, festivals, and more. These free events bring the community together and this Saturday will be no different as they celebrate with A Night in Paris.

“When the original board met with me they envisioned our events being one performer with a guitar or a storytime,” says Yvonne Arceneaux, Willow Fork Drainage District’s Park Director. “We’ve grown so much beyond those expectations to create a format to help the community by reaching the entire demographic.”
Katy’s Central Green Park, located in LaCenterra (23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd.,) is a half-acre public park dedicated to giving Katy families events like fitness classes, free movie nights, live music, and more.
“We’ve gone from simple pop-up events to major acts like Lee Greenwood and Diamond Rio,” explains Arceneaux.
A unique program that they park offer is their homeschool events. These are some of the largest outdoor homeschool events around.
“I now have kids coming back with their kids,” says Arceneaux. “To see the kids that prospered from our programs are now introducing their children to what we do is incredible to see.”
Each year, Central Green Park hosts five festivals, many concerts, movie nights, fitness, and other events all for free and open to the Katy community.
This Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Katy families will be transported to Paris in a special evening full of celebrations and surprises in what is being described as a full sensory journey.
There will be two live bands, In Time and No Where But Up! Guests can dance while immersing themselves in an art showcase in addition to witness high fashion in a Runway Show.
“This will be the biggest event that we’ve ever done!” says Arceneaux.
Talent will be playing the characters from Emily in Paris. The French love American music so get ready to enjoy the best Top 4 hits. There will be can can dancers, French paintings that will come to life. Elaborate sets will be built throughout the park for all to enjoy.
And this is just the beginning as unique surprises are promised throughout the event. Guests should even be on the lookout for Pepe Le Pew.
The stage at Central Green Park has showcased local and international talent over the years, but Arceneaux is most proud over how more than twenty-two professionals have launched their careers from their stage.
Central Green also offers free fitness classes. Yoga is offered twice on Fridays with the first class starting at 8:00 a.m. and the second at 9:15 a.m. Tai Chi is on Saturdays at 8:30 a.m.
Central Green Park, developed by Willow Fork Drainage District (WFDD,) is located at the south end of LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch. It is a true entertainment destination close to shopping dining, theaters, and libraries. The park provides a multi-purpose venue for many standing weekly events, monthly events, special events, and more.
Weather is always a concern with outdoor events. Follow Central Green Park on Facebook for updates. All events are subject to weather cancelations.
