Christmas in the Park to Bring Katy Charm and Holiday Traditions

Katy’s oldest non-profit is ready to celebrate the season! Katy Heritage Society will host their 5th annual Christmas in the Park event this Saturday. Tickets are going fast.

Popular Christmas Event Happening this Saturday

This Saturday, December 2, 2024, will be the Katy Heritage Society’s Christmas in the Park. Katy families can enjoy the season with fun activities among beautiful historical homes significant to Katy’s history.




“Christmas in the Park has that old town feel for the ages and has something for everyone,” says Adrienne Davitz, president of Katy Heritage Society.


Christmas is the Park is at the Katy Heritage Park (5990 George Bush Drive) from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Advance tickets are for sale online for $12 or less. Everyone older than one needs a ticket.


Tickets include a cup of hot cocoa (while supplies last,) a letter to Santa, a Christmas craft and tour historical Katy homes with beautifully decorated Christmas trees. There will also be Christmas music, food, hayrides, popcorn, and drinks for purchase.


Book your hayride online in advance. All hayrides will stop at Southern Dough Baking Co. Enjoy a ride around Downtown Katy to see all the Christmas lights.


Can’t make it to the event? You can still enjoy Katy Heritage Society events and programs.



Tour Historic Katy Homes

The Katy Heritage Society hosts their historic Katy homes tours the first weekend of the month from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Step into the past at Katy Heritage Park (5990 George Bush Dr.)


The Katy Heritage Society also operates the Train Depot located on First Street, which welcomes visitors Wednesday through Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Depot holds many railroad relics and historical exhibits.
