Thanks to the overwhelming public response from the community, Clothed by Faith was able to serve close to 6,000 people with one week's worth of clothing from their remote, Hurricane Harvey response site at CrossPoint Church in Katy. They have closed down operations at CrossPoint, but are not through serving those in need, and are still asking for volunteers at their home location at 802 Dominion Dr., Ste. 100 in Katy (located off of Kingsland Blvd. between Fry Rd. and Westgreen Blvd.) They particularly helping partner organizations like United Way, Career and Recovery, Family Services, Katy ISD and other school districts, Houston Area Urban League and other agencies who have many affected clients. They are also serving individuals who come to us through our on-line system asking for help.
Here's How To Get Involved:
1. If you would like to join our group of volunteers 10-4, Monday to Friday: Please follow the link below to choose the volunteer time slot(s) you would like to sign up for - http://www.signupgenius.com/tabs/23671D606A6C9E4C24-warehouse
Once you have chosen your time slot YOU MUST:
Create a login account at www.clothedbyfaith,org/portal This portal is what we use to track our volunteer hours, forms and documentation.
YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO VOLUNTEER AT OUR DOMINION LOCATION UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROCESS.
After establishing an account, return to the portal at www.clothedbyfaith.org/portal and login using your user name and password, and then, complete and digitally sign all document forms and disclosures, including watching three (3) short training videos (you may have watched these previously if you sorted donations for us at Crosspoint).
In case you encounter problems with the digital signature, do not use any other special character except forward slash (/). Please enter as: /s/firstname(space)lastname or /s/Mary Jones
The remaining items from the portal will be gone over on your first day at the CBF office. Please, if possible, on your first day arrive 10 minutes prior to your planned start time. Pre-registration is necessary and will help expedite this final process, and when done, you will be provided a Volunteer PIN# to use to log your hours using our “Clock On” system. .
