Experts Offer New Year Home Advice at Katy Home & Outdoor Living Show

The Katy Home & Outdoor Living Show is this weekend and the event that has wowed visitors for 20 years returns with popular exhibits and new features all designed to help local families design the home they want. This is the largest home and garden show in the West Houston area.

The Katy Home & Outdoor Living Show is this weekend (January 10-11, 2026) at the Katy Merrell Center (6301 S. Stadium Ln.) On Saturday the event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday is 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 


"We're thrilled to bring the 19th Annual Katy Home & Outdoor Living Show to life once again — a community favorite that showcases the latest Houston area home design and garden trends and supports our local economy by connecting local businesses with the customers who need them," says show producer Robyn Cade, president of RJC Productions.

 

Katy residents can learn from industry experts and discover ways to improve their home and garden in the New Year. Face-to-face interactions is better than online research and 100 of vendors will offer examples and workshops.

 

This event features the latest trends in home design with everything from windows to doors, floors, outdoor living areas, landscape, pools, kitchens, baths, displaying cutting-edge home renovation solutions, sustainable gardening techniques and eye-catching backyard attractions including a more economical, creative swimming pool solution, and more.

 

Register in advance for free admission or $5 at the door. The first 100 guests each day will receive a free gift.

At the show, guests can enjoy a hands-on Spring gardening workshops designed to help gardeners of all skill levels. Spring is a time to plant seeds and grow gardens so this is the perfect time to grow a new skill.

 

Walk through backyard examples and see showcases full of ideas. There will be hourly giveaways and adults can play Bingo for prizes.

 


On Saturday only there will be a Children’s Entrepreneur Market. Over 30 Katy-area students ages 6-17 will be selling their unique products. This is an award-winning program that teaches students about entrepreneurship.

 

On both days at booth #16, kids can enjoy an immersive nature nook full of hands-on fun.

 

The Brookwood Community will be selling a great selection of plants and it helps create jobs for adults with disabilities.

 

On Sunday, teachers and servicemen and women will get two free admission tickets with valid ID.
