For over a decade Hope Impacts has served the Katy area homeless population. Today they open a new office space that will allow them to expand services and keep helping those in need.

Over 10 Years of Service
Hope Impacts has been serving Katy’s homeless population for over 10 years. Homelessness is a problem many cities face and this Katy based nonprofit gets no state funding to help. They run entirely on community donations and volunteers. For over a year they have struggled in their current space and are now able to move to better help those they serve and to grow the programs they are known to offer.
“There will be education and training programs to help people move forward in life. We will also have partners coming in and leading classes,” says Founder and Executive Director Tina Hatcher. “This is a multi-purpose room so we can set it up for classes in a variety of ways.”
The new venue was celebrated in a ribbon cutting today. They are moving from 802 Dominion Dr. Suite 900 to 3115 N Fry Rd Suite 404 and will be operating fully out of the space by the first of the year.
The new space is 3000 square feet that includes a large multi-purpose space that can be set up in a number of ways to accommodate fellowship, learning, support groups of various needs. There the community can come together to offer education and training classes that can help those who seek help to get off the streets.
“Our goal is to have volunteers, partners, donors, staff, and participants in a space that is welcoming, comfortable, intentional, and serves multiple purposes at once,” says Hatcher. “Optimally we want everyone to be learning new skills and being instructed by leaders in various fields with different experiences in our community.”
The new space also has a computer room that will have eight computers where people can work and learn, better kitchen and bathroom space, and more space to hold donations.
“The space has a specific use for helping those who want to set goals and improve their situation in life,” adds Hatcher. “The supper and showers program remains our outreach program where we meet basic needs and build relationships. We are excited about the new, bigger space and seeing how lives will change through our next chapter program and partnering programs!”
Next month, Hope Impacts will host their 10th Golf Tournament that is quickly turning out to be their biggest event yet. The tournament will be held on November 10th at Blackhorse golf club.
“Since we don't get state or federal funding we rely on Fundraising and donations to continue to meet needs,” says Hatcher. “With the move to a commercial space our expenses have increased by over 400%!”
Hatcher says that the economy and budget cuts have affected their partnering organizations and how much they can give.
On November 15, 2025, PARR FEST: Keeping Rock Alive, a tribute to ZZ Top will raise money for Hope Impacts while guests can have fun.
