Katy-Area Shooting Ends in Death of Man and Woman

A Katy home is the center of an investigation today as a man and woman were found dead in the Bridgewater Pointe subdivision.

Harris County sheriff Ed Gonzalez shared Monday morning that his deputies responded to a Katy home where it was determined that an adult male and female were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez shared on social media that his deputies responded around 6:30 a.m. this morning to the 3700 block of Bent Springs Lane in Bridgewater Pointe. At their arrival both an adult man and female were found deceased by apparent gunshot wounds.

According to authorities, the man and woman were found dead in separate areas of the home after adults called 911 after hearing gunshots.

Weapons have not been found near the home and Sheriff Gonzalez has confirmed that there have not been previous calls to the home.

There are also no signs of break-ins to the home. The couple were foster parents to a 7-year-old child, who is currently staying with a neighbor.

This case is still under investigation by CSI and Homicide Detectives.
