Katy based non-profit Hope Impacts seeks volunteers and sponsors for their bi-weekly Supper and Showers event. This gives community members a chance to make a real difference in a program that continues to serve many in need.

Katy families, church groups, youth organizations, service groups and more are encouraged to consider volunteering at Hope Impacts Suppers and Showers events that happen twice a week all throughout 2026.
“Although there are no shelters in the communities we serve, we do what we can to build relationships, offer a safe community, and assess each person's situation to be able to give resources, referrals and opportunities to help them improve their challenging situations,” says Tina Hatcher, Hope Impacts founder and Executive Director.
The seasoned charity is also seeking sponsors for these events. Suppers and Showers is a program offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Crossroad Church (700 Westgreen Blvd.) It offers showers and hot meals to local individuals experiencing homelessness. To sponsor they ask to provide or fund meals for at least 40 people.
Volunteering is a great opportunity to get service hours but to also be part of a program that continues to serve so many.
On average, Hope Impacts serves over 5,980 meals a year.
Over 10 Years of Service
Hope Impacts has been serving Katy’s homeless population for over 10 years. Homelessness is a problem many cities face, and this Katy based nonprofit gets no state funding to help. They run entirely on community donations and volunteers.
Hope Impacts moved last year to 802 Dominion Dr. Suite 900 to 3115 N Fry Rd Suite 404. The 3,000 square foot space better serves their needs and includes a large multi-purpose space that can be set up in a number of ways to accommodate fellowship, learning, support groups of various needs. There the community can come together to offer education and training classes that can help those who seek help to get off the streets.
They operate entirely on donated funds so giving back keeps them going.
“Since we don't get state or federal funding we rely on Fundraising and donations to continue to meet needs,” says Hatcher. “With the move to a commercial space our expenses have increased by over 400%!”
