Authorities Seek the Public's Help

Authorities seek the public’s help in identifying a customer who stabbed the clerk over a payment method disagreement. This happened a little before Midnight Tuesday night at the Shell gas station at 1955 N. Mason Road, at the corner of Franz Road.

According to authorities, the customer and the clerk got into an argument over the “payment method.” That is when the customer punched the clerk.

The clerk was in the process of calling 911 when the customer pulled out a large pocket knife and went behind the counter and stabbed him multiple times in the back.

The clerk required immediate medical treatment and was sent via Life Flight to a hospital downtown. He is expected to recover.

Suspect Fled the Scene

The customer fled the scene heading south on Mason Road in a yellow, four-door vehicle.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the crime and reviewing surveillance footage. Anyone with information is asked to call the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at 713-755-6044.
