In the Spirit of Hard Work
For 43 years the Katy Heritage Society has been dedicated to the educational and cultural development of the community by preserving, restoring, and displaying historical landmarks, and other objects distinctive of Katy and adjacent areas.
Katy was founded by hardworking visionaries and this scholarship represents that spirit of hard work and adults wanting to better their careers.
A Unique Opportunity for Adults
"This scholarship is designed to honor the men and women who helped settle this city and give us the foundation it needed to succeed over the decades," says Adrienne Davitz, president of Katy Heritage Society.
Applicants must be enrolled in or seeking enrollment at an accredited community college, college, university, business, vocational, continuing education program or technical school.
Anyone applying must reside or work within the geographic boundaries of the Katy Independent School District.
While the scholarship is open to all ages, it was created to provide an opportunity for adults who wish to further their education.
"It’s unique as it is a scholarship for adults. Men and women wanting to better their lives and help excel their careers," says Davitz.
