Katy ISD Opens High School Limited Enrollment to Help More Students

Through the District’s High School Limited Open Enrollment, eligible students can apply to a designated Katy ISD high school associated with their Extended Attendance Zone. This opens up a wind range of opportunities to help more students in high school and life beyond.
Katy ISD has opened up High School Limited Enrollment Transfer for Fall 2026. This allows students to attend a designated high school campus associated with their Extended Attendance Zone (EAZ). Students will select from the approved campus option associated with their current school district. This doesn’t mean a student can just choose among all the District high schools.

"Our High School Limited Open Enrollment offers an opportunity for more students to experience the world-class education, exceptional programs and life-changing opportunities that have made Katy ISD one of the most sought-after school districts in Texas."
Katy ISD is known for their academics, championship-caliber extracurricular programs and innovative pathways that prepare students for success in college, careers and beyond. The District is rated the #1 rated school district in the Houston area by Niche.
Students accepted through the program will gain access to a wide range of opportunities, including Advanced Placement coursework, Career and Technical Education programs, dual-credit courses through Houston City College, nationally recognized fine arts programs, athletics, virtual learning opportunities and flexible school-day pathways designed to meet diverse student needs.
Eligible public, private, charter or home-schooled students may apply for transfer to a designated Katy ISD high school based on their residence and proximity to participating campuses. Admission is subject to available space at participating campuses.

Important Registration Dates for Katy ISD:
Current students with Katy ISD don’t need to worry about the annual Student Enrollment until the week of July 27th when emails go out.
Registration for the new Legacy Virtual High School is open online for Fall and Spring Enrollment.
