Katy ISD will close their COVID testing site as they shift their focus to vaccinating against the disease. Tomorrow will be the last day that students, staff, and qualifying dependents can get tested. The District has also scheduled a third vaccination opportunity due to high demand.

Since Katy ISD and RediMD launched the District COVID Testing Site at the Agricultural Science Center last September, over 27,520 rapid tests have been administered to Katy students, staff and their qualifying dependents. Offering this service helped mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

Tomorrow is the Last Day of District COVID Testing

Friday, May 28 will be the last day that the testing center will be open, however the District will maintain its COVID-19 Dashboard and Positive Self-Reporting options.

As focus shifts from testing to vaccination, Katy ISD has partnered with Randall’s Pharmacy to offer a district location for the organization to provide optional COVID-19 vaccination opportunities to eligible students, 12 years of age and older.

Katy ISD Adds Another Vaccine Opportunity “Due to high demand, Randall’s Pharmacy has made three opportunities available to parents interested in having their children vaccinated against COVID-19,” says Lance Nauman, Director of Katy ISD Risk Management Department.

Katy ISD students are not required to get the vaccine in order to participate in District activities or programs.

“The vaccination is available free of charge and is being administered at Katy ISD’s Agricultural Science Center located at 5801 Katy Hockley Cut-Off Road,” says Nauman.

For questions, parents are encouraged to email the District. The vaccine will be offered by Randall’s Pharmacy.

According to the District’s COVID-19 Dashboard, Katy ISD has had a total of 6,514 cases of COVID-19 since August 19.

Today was the last day of classes for the District's 2020-2021 academic year.
