Clothed by Faith, a Katy-based nonprofit, celebrated their newly expanded Katy location in a ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday. The facility increases the organizations capacity to provide high-quality, gently used clothing to children and adults in need.

Clothed by Faith has been serving the Katy community and beyond for 14 years. They demonstrate God’s love through the provision of clothing to those in need. As demand continues to rise throughout the area, the newly expanded facility (802 Dominion Drive) will help them to process more donations, outfit more clients, and partner with more schools, agencies, and community groups.

“Meeting the growing need in our community requires space, volunteers, and heart. This expansion represents all three,” says Deysi Crespo, Executive Director at Clothed by Faith. “We’re grateful for the support that made this possible and excited to welcome the public to see how their generosity is changing lives.”
Founded in 2013, Clothed by Faith demonstrates God’s love through the provision of clothing to those in need with dignity, hope, compassion, and practical support. Serving Katy and surrounding areas, the organization partners with schools, shelters, churches, and social service agencies. To date, it has served over 167,000 people in need.
Clothed by Faith urges Katy families and community groups to commit to a $25 monthly donation that would provide a week’s worth of clothing to someone in need of feeling God’s love. Through small donations, they can keep saying “yes.”
Anyone can face hardship and Clothed by Faith works to help everyone from children in foster care, families rebuilding after disasters, veterans starting over, parents facing domestic violence, and more.
Monthly support helps local families who need someone to say, “We see you.”
Clothed by Faith aims to help those they serve feel confidence from the clothing the receive as clothing insecurity is real.
Other ways people can help include being a volunteer. 85% of their work is done by a team of volunteers. This is a great way for service organizations to get hours or for church groups and family groups make a difference that will bring a lasting impact to those served.
With summer almost here, taking up a volunteer activity would be a great family project.
They also accept clothing donation. All clothes must be new or gently used. There is a drop box at their Katy location: 802 Dominion Drive. They ask that you only put clothing in the bins and no boxes or clothing on hangers.
