Katy’s Central Green Park is a half-acre public park dedicated to giving Katy families events like fitness classes, free movie nights, live music, and more. The multi-purpose venue has announced their summer concert series and the fun starts this weekend.
Central Green Park's Summer Concert Series Starts
Live music fun all summer long starts this weekend with The Lone Star Big Band. The non-profit band is from Katy and comprised of volunteers from the Houston area that all share a passion for music. All concerts are in the park located in at the south end of LaCenterra. The fun is free!
This Summer is full of live music and a variety of fun events perfect for Katy couples and families alike.
“If you've been in sun or on the water, it's a perfect place to cool down at night in the summer breeze while listening to music or seeing a show,” says Yvonne Arceneaux, Willow Fork Drainage District’s Park Director.“The concerts are comprised of professional musicians giving you the opportunity to listen to top notch entertainment without spending a dime.”

"Our Summer Concert Series offers something for everyone! We are featuring everything from Big Band, Hip Hop, Reggae, Tribute bands, Country, Latin and Brazilian Rock," says Arceneaux.

Follow Central Green Park for upcoming events such as movies, festivals, etc. Please note that no alcohol or glass is allowed at Central Green Park. Families can bring blankets and towels to spread out and enjoy the grass.
Fitness Schedule, Storytime Continues this Summer
In addition to the exciting summer schedule, Katyites can still enjoy fitness classes on the green. Yoga is Wednesdays at 8:00 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.
Children can enjoy Storytime on the third Monday of each month at 10:00 a.m.
