It’s time to plan your Fourth of July fun in Katy and your family has many ways to celebrate Independence Day.
Set your schedules for some Fourth of July fun, Katy style! There will be a little bit of everything for Katy families to enjoy celebrating America’s Birthday!
July 2-4, 2021 Red, White & Boom
Typhoon Texas
555 Katy Fort Bend Road
Friday/Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Sunday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Katy’s waterpark, Typhoon Texas will host three days of Fourth of July celebrations and each night will conclude with a firework show. On Friday, guests can enjoy carnival activities and live entertainment in addition to all the usual Typhoon Texas attractions. On Saturday the same attractions will be back but they will add hot air balloon rides. Friday and Saturday’s firework show will be at 9:15 p.m.
On Sunday, guests can attend a Salute to Heroes. Fireworks on the Fourth of July will be their longest show yet with the Katy Freedom Celebration at 9:05 p.m. Admission to the park is $44.99. Learn more and get tickets at their website.

The Katy Heritage Society will host their annual Fourth of July event. Children can dress up in their patriotic best for the parade of non-motorized bikes, strollers, scooters, and wagons. Winners will be announced after the parade.
“The Sandlot” movie will be shown at 8:30 p.m. in the park greenspace. Attendees can purchase popcorn, snow cones, snacks, or drinks. There will also be a petting zoo, crafts and more.

July 3-4, 2021 Freedom Fest
Wildcatter Saloon

The Wildcatter Saloon will have live music and fireworks over the Fourth of July weekend. William Clark Green headlines the performance Saturday, with Aaron Lewis on Sunday. This event is open to those age 21 and up. 2 p.m. $60 (one day general admission); $100 (two day general admission); $75 (one day general admission preferred); $125 (two day general admission preferred); $175 (one day VIP); $300 (two day VIP). Red, White & Blue Party
LaCenterra
6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Celebrate America’s birthday at the Heritage Square (the green area by Ambriza) at LaCenterra in Cinco Ranch. There will be live music by Velvet Punch playing classic hits.
Uberrito will be selling food and drinks, while Sweet Paris will have beer, wine and dessert for sale. Fire Disc will be performing cooking demonstrations with small food samples.
Bring lawn chairs and blankets, but don’t bring outside alcohol, glass containers, tents, or large umbrellas.
LaCenterra will not host their annual firework show this year.
July 4, 2021 Katy Freedom Celebration
Near Katy Mills/Typhoon Texas
9:00 p.m.
The City of Katy is partnering with Typhoon Texas’s “Red White & Boom” event for the annual Katy Freedom Celebration. This year there will not be a morning program but the community can gather in the parking lot of Katy Mills Mall and Typhoon Texas to witness a spectacular firework show around 9:00 p.m.
The city asks that when parking for the firework display please do not move street closure barricades and do not park on roadway shoulders or street medians.

Wear your swimsuit and be ready to get wet at Smith Ranch’s water area. They will have will be pony rides, concession stand with turkey legs, sausage on a stick and all other kinds of goodies. A bar with beer, margaritas, wine and more will also be available. The evening will conclude with a big firework show.
Admission is required.
$15 kids 16 under.
$10 adults 17+.

Katy VFW Fourth of July Celebration

10:00 a.m.
The annual VFW Post 9182 & Auxiliary will be held Monday, July 5 starting at 10:00 a.m. Events include the posting of Colors by combined Katy VFW Post 9182 and American Legion Post 164 Honor Guard.
Post Chaplain Jeb Strickland will lead the invocation. Looks for several special guests during the ceremony including District 132 State Representative Mike Schofield. There will be a 50-gun salute. Don’t miss this Katy tradition.
Remember to be responsible this Fourth of July and don’t drink and drive. Local police will be added additional patrols to help protect our streets from intoxicated drivers.
