Katy VBS Camps are Summer Traditions for Many
Many Katy churches have opened registration for summer Vacation Bible School Camps. These camps are great summer traditions for many local families. Prices vary from $30-$40, but most churches give discounts to children of parent volunteers.
Katy Churches Seek Volunteers
"No amount of staff can put together a Vacation Bible School without amazing adult and teen volunteers,” says Alyssa Sandlin, St. Peter’s UMC Director of Children's Ministry. “Each summer we have a big need for preschool and elementary class leaders.”
Most local churches let volunteers register their children early and at discounted rates.
The ultimate role of a Class Leader is to let the kids in your small group see the love of Jesus through your actions and reactions while they are in your care during VBS,” says Sandlin. “Our leadership teams ensure that all prep is done in advance to make the week of VBS as easy and stress free as possible for our volunteers so that their focus in on building relationships with their small groups."
