Katy Woman Killed When Tesla Goes Through Home

A Tesla crashed through a Katy home tonight that resulted in the death of a senior woman.

Around 8:00 p.m. this evening a Tesla crashed into a Katy home at the 21300 block of Rose Hollow Lane in the Westgreen Park community. The resident, a woman, was taken to the hospital by Lifeflight and later died from her injuries.


 

Multiple agencies responded to the incident and multiple occupants were reportedly trapped inside the Tesla.

 

The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

According to authorities, the driver said that the Tesla was on autopilot at the time of the crash.

 

Constable Terry Allbritton’s deputies are still investigating the accident.
