Man Arrested in Recent Shooting in Katy Neighborhood

A man has been arrested in connection with a recent shooting in the Sunterra community.

 

Waller County Sheriff’s Office under the direction of Sheriff Troy Guidry, along with K-9 and Patrol Division, assisted the Harris County Violent Person Warrants Task Force in the search and apprehension of the fugitive wanted for the March 13, 2026 shooting in Katy’s Sunterra neighborhood.


 

Karterrius Gamble was arrested yesterday, without incident, in a high-risk traffic stop. His apprehension came after officers conducted surveillance.

 

Gamble was wanted on a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. After his arrest he was booked into the Harris County Joint Processing Center.

 

The Waller County Sheriff’s Office commends the coordinated efforts of all agencies involved in the safe apprehension of this suspect. WCSO remains committed to working alongside law enforcement partners to locate and apprehend individuals wanted for violent crimes and to help keep our communities safe.

 


The shooting occurred on March 13, 2026, in Sunterra near Aurora Bend Drive. Witnesses report that multiple shots were heard and fired at multiple people. No injuries were reported.

 

Sunterra is a large master-planned community located in the northwest quadrant of the Katy area. This area continues to experience much growth and expansion, and more homes and businesses come to the area.
