New Digital Billboard Campaign Brings Hope to Search for Missing Katy Teen

A new digital billboard campaign is bringing hope to the ongoing search for a missing Katy teen. Thalia Macias, Mayde Creek High School student, went missing in December 2019. She is one of 37,023 missing children in Texas.

Members of Thalia Macia's family, Chris Harris, Katy ISD Police, and Clear Channel Outdoor Americas launch a new digital billboard campaign in hopes of finding missing children like Katy's Thalia.

In December 2019, 15-year-old Thalia Macias disappeared and may have been lured away from Mayde Creek High School.



New Billboard Campaign Brings Hope to Search

Since then, authorities and Thalia’s family have searched for the missing teen. Now a new billboard campaign, thanks to Clear Channel Outdoor Americas, will hopefully get Thalia’s face and story before more people in hopes of finding her.


“These past billboard campaigns by Clear Channel and partner organizations, has been successful, and we all hope the same positive results in this case,” says Chris Harris, Katy Mayor Pro Tem.


Thalia is one of 37,023 missing children is Texas. Texas Center for the Missing and Houston’s Amber Alert Provider and Clear Channel Outdoor Americas (CCOA) will launch a new month-long effort across the Houston area to help generate leads in the case of the disappearance of Thalia Macias.


Thalia’s photo will be broadcast over 1,200 times a day on each unit for a month.


Thalia is a Hispanic female with brown hair and eyes. She is 5’ 1” weighing 70 pounds. She would be 17-years-old this month.
