Katy LaCenterra is known as a dog lovers’ hotspot with plenty of outdoor spaces and patio dining where families can enjoy a meal with their furry family members.

“As a dog-friendly shopping center, LaCenterra is always looking to expand its canine-centric amenities and events to provide the ultimate shopping and entertainment experience for guests and their furry friends,” says Aimee Braswell, regional marketing manager at JLL.

This years Paws Fest will once again bring the canine fun as Katy families can enjoy vendors and entertainment from the crowd favorite DockDogs, that showcases a series of action-packed competitions in dock jumping and dock diving canine performance sports.

As in past years, the competitions taking place during the festival will serve as their only “National Sportsmen’s Series” event to be held in Texas this year. The competitions will take place in front of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema at the times listed below.

DockDogs Event Schedule:

  • Onsite Registration/Practice – 9:30 a.m.

  • Big Air Wave #2 – 10:30 a.m.

  • Big Air Wave #3 – 12:30 p.m.

  • Speed Retrieve (All-in-one Finals) – 2:30 p.m.

  • Big Air Finals (Pro, Semi Pro, Contender & Amateur Finals) – 4:00 p.m.

More Fun to Find

In addition to spectating or participating in the action-packed competitions, guests and their pets will also have the opportunity to enjoy various activities, including:

  • Listen to live music spun by a DJ

  • Browse products and services from dog-friendly vendors

  • Grab a snack or meal between shows at one of the center’s many restaurants

  • On-site pet adoptions for families looking to add a furry friend

Katy-area shelters have been struggling with numbers well exceeding capacity. Now is a wonderful time to consider adding to your family or making a donation to a local shelter.

Canine attendees can quench their thirst throughout the day at one of four dog-drinking fountains located throughout the center. LaCenterra also has two pet waste stations on-site located by Perry’s Steakhouse and Torchy’s Tacos. All dog-related amenities are presented by PUCCI Café.
