Restaurants and the Katy Community Come Together

Katy's LaCenterra will be home to a big party this May 9 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Fifteen new and established favorite LaCenterra restaurants will be sharing small bites. Guests will also be entertained by live music. In addition to the food and entertainment, event organizers will be hosting a silent auction featuring a variety of items.

Opportunity to Support

Hope Impacts was founded in 2014 by Tina Hatcher. The non-profit's vision is that one day, all Katy residents would have a place to call home within a supportive community.

"The Taste of LaCenterra is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come out and have fun while supporting Hope Impacts and finding out what we do to help the chronically and situationally homeless in our community," says Tina Hatcher, Founder and Executive Director for Hope Impacts.

Hope Impacts partners with businesses in the area, and volunteers, to provide important services to Katy neighbors in need. Volunteers can provide support in many ways - as career coaches, drivers and hair stylists, or by assisting with marketing, donation drives and the monthly outreach breakfast.

"We are thrilled to partner with Katy-based Hope Impacts to support the good they do in the community," says Diana Elkins, Marketing Director for LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch.

Last year's event attracted around 1,000 people and raised $20,000 all for Hope Impacts. This year the event is adding more restaurants so they are anticipating up to 2,000 attendees.

"Taste of LaCenterra was created to showcase our fabulous selection of restaurants while giving back to the community," says Elkins.

Participating restaurants include:

Alamo Drafthouse

Baker St. Pub & Grill

Bar Louie

Dish Society

Fish City Grill

Gelato & Co.

Peli Peli

Perry's Steakhouse Grille

Snooze, an A.M. Eatery

Sweet Paris

The Cheese Bar

The Rouxpour

The Spice & Tea Exchange

Torchy's Tacos

Uberrito

"This is one of our main fundraising venues for the year and since Hope Impacts is a non-profit organization that is independently funded, we count on these community events to help us meet our budget goals," says Hatcher.
