A Katy teen has been arrested and charged with the murder of another teen. The shooting took place near Cardiff Junior High last month. The suspect, victim, and the cousin to the victim were found in a vehicle in the school parking lot. The crime is drug related.

Seth Brumant, 17, was arrested and charged with the murder of Marvin Harrison, 19.

Suspect May Be Involved in Another Shooting, Firearms Trafficking

Seth Brumant, 17, is a documented gang member from Katy/Harris County. On Tuesday, he was arrested at his Katy home on Silverhawk Drive in the Westfield subdivision. He was charged with the murder of 19-year-old Marvin Harrison.

Brumant is now in the Harris County jail with bond set at $200,000. The bond is high because investigators believe he was involved in one other shooting, as well as trafficking firearms. Brumant has no prior convictions.

Killing is Drug Related

A witness reported to prosecutors that Brumant had paid $80 for marijuana just before gunfire started. Harrison was reportedly shot in the head and his cousin was shot in the left arm.
