Two thieves in a black sedan stole a trunk full of pumpkins from the patch at First Christian Church Katy over the weekend. The pumpkins they stole from the handicap patch area serve many community programs.

On Sunday, October 12, 2025, a black sedan and two individuals (a man and woman) drove up to the handicap section of the First Christian Church Katy (FCC) Pumpkin Patch (22101 Morton Ranch Road) and stole a trunk full of pumpkins that sales go to supporting multiple community programs.
“Know that you are stealing from those in need,” says Rev. Heather Patriacca Tolleson. “We sale pumpkins to do some amazing things in our community.”
The pumpkins stolen were from the handicap section of the patch that is raised for easy access to those in wheelchairs.
Pumpkins sales go to support Transparent Closet, scholarships for local trailblazing students, Christmas gifts for foster children in need, veteran support, 500 plus meals, and more. Learn more about these programs at FCC Katy's website.
The theft was caught on a Ring camera, and local authorities are investigating the crime.
If anyone knows the suspects, please reach out to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at 713-221-6000.
“Please don’t steal the pumpkins,” says Rev. Tolleson. “Please come support the patch so that these endeavors can continue to happen.”
