Constable Ted Heap is proud to announce that Frank Roberts III, who was wanted on sex trafficking charges involving a young girl that escaped a Katy apartment, has been arrested and is behind bars this evening. Heap also shared more details in the case at a press conference this afternoon.

Arrested this afternoon in Washington County

Katy Magazine shared Roberts' picture and story this morning after Precinct 5 released the details. A person who saw the photo on Facebook alerted Precinct 5 deputies and Roberts was arrested in Washington County within hours and without incident.

Three Men Arrested Earlier this Month

Adrien Montrel Louis, 25, and Coby Dewayne Daniels, 26, and Donavon Javonte Knight, 26, were arrested earlier this month and charged with sex trafficking. Daniels was also charged with sexual assault of a child. All were arrested at various locations.

Frank Roberts III, 26, was at large as of earlier today and wanted in connection with the same case. Roberts, a Katy resident, was arrested on charges of child trafficking and sex performance by a child. Roberts was initially arrested for sexual assault of a child in February, following an outcry from a 16-year-old runaway found in a Katy apartment. Roberts posted bond at the time, but new information uncovered in Precinct 5’s investigation led to charges of child trafficking against all four men.

Case Details

Constable Ted Heap gave further details on this horrific crime this afternoon in a press conference. He said multiple men took turns sexually assaulting the 16 year old victim before she escaped.

“All of the suspects drugged the victim with an assortment of drugs, ranging from marijuana, Xanax and possibly even heroin," Heap said.

One Suspect is a Local Rapper

Donavon Knight is a local rapper who goes by the name of “Dono,” according to Heap. He has worked with the pep rally music act called High School Takeover. The group has worked with several local area high schools but no school in KISD was included on that list.

A Criminal Off the Streets

Constable Heap took to Precinct 5's Facebook page to announce Roberts' arrest and to thank those who called with information that led to the arrest. "With that help, we have been able to remove this wanted criminal from the streets and bring him to justice," says Heap.
