With so many Pho places opening lately, this second location of Phanh Ky, offers a little something different...Hu Tieu. South Vietnam-inspired dishes using Hu Tieu are served with pork and seafood broth, as opposed to the beef broth of Pho. All dishes are under $10.

Using old family recipes making almost everything from scratch with no artificial ingredients, the Katy location opened in June 2018. Before BBQ, the family specialized in breakfast which is why Harris County Smokehouse opens at 7 am serving breakfast. A BBQ plate ranges from $11 - $17 with your choice of meats....beef, link sausage, pulled pork, ribs, chicken and turkey.

Serving plate lunches that date back to wage laborers of the 19th century sugar plantations and pineapple fields, L&L Hawaiian Grill offers a unique twist to BBQ from a mix of home recipes from Japan, China, the Philippines, Portugal, Korea and New England.

Opening the original Beck's Prime in 1985, they prepare sandwiches, burgers and salads as they are ordered over mesquite wood coals using certified angus beef ground fresh daily and Boars Head hot dogs made exclusively for Beck’s. Items such as the Chili Cheeseburger start at $11.75, while a steak dinner will cost around $30.

Opening it’s first Texas location in Katy, Black Bear Diner is reminiscent of a home cooked meal at grandma's house. They offer breakfast classic breakfast items such as omelettes and dinner items like Big Foot Chicken Fried Steak.

Don’t let the word “sweet” in the name Sweet Paris Creperie & Café fool you. This 7th location and first in Katy, offers many types of crepes such as breakfast, savory, and sweet along with salads, soups, waffles and paninis. Most menu items are under $10.

The Katy Toasted Yolk Café is the first franchise location for Cyril Thomas, who is the organizer of the Katy Taste Fest. Open 7am-3pm, they serve breakfast and lunch under $15 including the Golden Gate Omelette pictured below.

Opening it’s third location in Richmond in June of 2018, Lopez incorporates over 30 years of experience to offer authentic Mexican dishes such as Carne Guisada ($10.50) along with Tex-Mex favorites like Chimichanga ($11.25).

Torchy’s Tacos began in a food truck with the owner driving around in his Vespa handing out chips and salsa. With locations in three states, they opened their second location in the Katy area this Spring. Torchy’s always has a “taco of the month”, which is currently the Tokyo Drifter, consisting of fried wontons, teriyaki glazed pulled pork with sweet sriracha mayo, cilantro & lime on a flour tortilla.

Victoria’s opened it's second location in Cinco Ranch in April 2018. Their authentic Mexican dishes such as Pablito’s Taquitos and Pablano Cancun range in price from $10 - $20.
PIZZA AND ITALIAN

Crown Pizza, opening it’s second location in June 2018, offers Neapolitan style pizza. Some of their specialty pizzas include Boogie on the Bayou ($14.95), Devil Went Down to Georgia ($14.95) and Mr. VooDoo ($16.95).

Grazia opened in May 2018 to rave reviews with a Texas-inspired Italian flare menu. The Smoked Beef Short Ribs (pictured below), have won awards at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Prices range from $13 - $47. Katy is the third location in the Houston area.

Named after Malawi, Africa, Malawi’s Pizza donates a meal to an African child in need when a meal is purchased in the US and have donated over $1,000,000 meals donated to date. Pizzas are made in the stone oven when you order. In addition to a regular pizza and pasta dishes, they have an extensive offering of dessert pizza such as Raspberry White Chocolate Cheesecake and Berries and Cream.

Serving a full variety of seafood, the Cantu family opened their second location in Fulshear this summer. The eclectic menu offers items such as Shrimp Nachos, Crawfish Etouffee and Steak & Shrimp ranging in price from $10 to $22.

Rouxpour has brought the Taste of New Orleans to La Centerra with dishes such as Stuffed Shrimp Rouxpour and Mardi Gras Bisque. The third location offers everything from brunch to dinner and lunch to happy hour.

Locally owned, the idea was created by stay-at-home mom, Missy Meyer, who wished she had a place to take her kids to play while she had coffee and a little bite to eat with her girlfriends. Stomping Grounds offers items for the kiddos such as Goldfish ($1) and PB&J ($5) and beverages for the adults along with food such as the Katy Croissant ($10).
