Katy families can mark the end of summer vacation with these exciting activities to entertain kids of all ages. Check out our list of fun places to explore, and get ready to race, fish, paint, putt, swing and much more!

1. Central Green Park
Visit the Central Green Park Facebook page to register for exciting programs like Tai Chi, Yoga, Conversational Spanish, and Story Time offered throughout the month. Willow Fork Drainage District's signature public plaza is conveniently located within LaCenterra in Cinco Ranch.
Pinot's Palette hosts fun painting parties for families, groups, ladies’ night out, kids parties, birthday and events. Now, they're offering in-studio, plus take-home, and virtual painting opportunities.
3. Cinemark
Host your own screening for up to 20 guests at Cinemark. Check the theatre's website for available movies to enjoy in the privacy and comfort of your own auditorium.
Andretti Indoor Karting & Games offers exciting adventures from three levels of indoor track racing and 360 degrees of virtual reality experiences. The entertainment center also includes a two-level laser tag arena, custom-designed mini golf, classic arcade and prize games and more.
Make your reservations to make a splash at Typhoon Texas. Katy’s family water park features rides for the littlest and biggest kid at heart. Grab a tube, or jump right in, the water’s fine!
6. Main Event
Bring the family to Main Event for fun and games under one roof! Test your skills on the gravity ropes, at the arcade games, bowling, and laser tag or at the billiard tables.
7. Willow Fork Park FREE
The 32-acre park is located at the northwest corner of SH 99/Grand Parkway and Cinco Ranch Blvd., north of Cinco Ranch High School. Take a leisurely walk through Willow Fork Park to watch for butterflies visiting their special garden.
8. Bahama Mama's
Bahama Mama's offers over 80 shaved ice flavors, made fresh daily using pure can sugar. They also rotate sugar-free choices weekly. Customer favorites include the Bahama Mama, Snake Bite, Mocha, Sunset, Gumbow and Jamaica Mistake.
9. Mary Jo Peckham Park FREE
Retreat to Mary Jo Peckham Park to connect with nature. The property surrounds a beautiful, stocked fishing pond with walking trails.
10. Katy Party Place
Katy Go Kart features a challenging outdoor track for riders to race single or double karts. Guests can also test the curves of their mini golf course, and step up to the plate in one of their six batting cages.
Explore the upscale shops and restaurants spread across 34 acres of LaCenterra in Cinco Ranch. Families can gather in the common areas, find the perfect gift or choose from many of the indoor and outdoor dining locations.
12. Glowzone
Katy's Glowzone welcomes kids of all ages to climb, race and outwit their friends at this action-packed adventure center. Navigate over and under the laser beams in the Lazer Maze and overcome the obstacles in the Ninja Course. Then test your skills on the 28-foot climbing wall or play Bazooka Ball (paint-less paint ball).
13. MKT Railroad Museum FREE
Visit the most iconic landmark in Katy! The MKT railroad museum is an historic landmark with life-sized exhibits. Make sure to take your photo with the famous red caboose car.
Get your family moving with Pedego Electric Bikes! They go farther and faster, so you can see more in less time. Choose to pedal, or get power when you want it. It's just like riding a bike!
Take family game night on the road and visit Battlehops Brewing's "board game cafe." Enjoy one of their special coffee or soda blends and start playing. Battlehops brews are available for purchase to go only.
16. Ceramics by Tess
Reserve your spot at Ceramics by Tess to create your next masterpiece. They also offer "Pottery To Go Kits" with contact-less pickup.
17. Bicycle Riding in George Bush Park FREE
Take a nice family bike ride on the trails through George Bush Park.
The short drive from Katy to Hockley is worth it to travel back in time. Enjoy current, blockbuster movies in old-fashioned, drive-in style.
