Here is a an updated list of places offering shelter in Katy, Texas.
NOTE: KATY HIGH SCHOOL IS NOT A SHELTER. Katy High School is a FEMA/ Coast Guard/National Guard Staging Center, but is not a shelter. This was just confirmed with Katy ISD August 29, at 10:30 AM.
BERRY CENTER
8877 Barker Cypress
The Berry Center has been opened as an embarkment location for residents seeking temporary refuge as they wait to be transported to permanent shelter. Items needed are dry towels, clothing, toiletries. Volunteers are also welcomed.

Beds, food, and clean restrooms. Kennels pets allowed but must be accompanied by owner at all times.

Bring a sleeping bag or air mattress.

Room for 100 people max.
Open space with three rest rooms in a safe, non-flooded location.
MORTON RANCH HIGH SCHOOL *At Capacity

Opening 8/28 at 7:30 a.m.
Superintendent Hindt is urging people to be safe, but if possible - donations of food, clothing, and blankets will be accepted.

Camp Bow Wow Katy *Beginning 8/30 1515 Vander Wilt Ln.
Starting on 8/30. Some must-needed items include towels, dog food, cat litter, diapers, formula, socks, and newspaper to name a few.
