Two groups join forces to provide homecoming attire and accessories for impacted students across Katy
Two groups began collecting Homecoming dresses, shoes and accessories, led my Kimberly Noska and Jennifer Skelton, immediately following Hurricane Harvey to relieve the burden from families affected and to bring joy back to the high school girls after the devastation. Word was spread via social media and direct contact.
Getting the gowns to the girls
"Together we collected over 600 dresses to date, including 20 donated by Weddings by Debbie," Says Jennifer Skelton. "Thirty have gone to Mayde Creek High, 100 to Katy High School and 200 to Fort Bend's hardest hit area." The community has been so generous that the groups are planning on hosting events in the Spring for Prom season.
Next pop up shop
The next pop up Homecoming dress shop will be held, Tuesday, October 23rd from 2:30-5:30 at Cinco Ranch High School.
