This fall, Marron will welcome the WME wildcats as they embark on the new school year together. She fills the position vacated by Paul Moussavi who was named principal of Beckendorff Junior High in June.

Marron has worked on several campuses in the district as a teacher, department chair, instructional coach and assistant principal. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Houston and a Master’s in Education Administration from Lamar University.

In 2006, Marron joined Morton Ranch Junior High as a seventh and eighth grade science teacher, and was later named the Science Department Chairperson. Six years later, she served as a science instructional coach at WoodCreek Junior High and Beckendorff Junior High schools. In 2013, Marron moved to Nottingham Country Elementary as the assistant principal.

During summer break, Marron worked with district students to prepare them for the upcoming school year. In the summer of 2016, she served as the summer school assistant principal at Exley Elementary. Marron’s most recent position in the district was student support assistant principal at the newly opened Paetow High School.

WME opened in 1973 as the third elementary school in Katy ISD. Today, there are 42 elementary schools in Katy ISD.
