2020 Guide to Katy-Area Pumpkin Patches

Fall is in the air, and Katy families can enjoy the seasonal colors, hayrides, and more as they explore local pumpkin patches. While some popular locations are limiting capacity due to COVID-19 regulations, families can count on finding their perfect pumpkin and fall pictures this season.

It's pumpkin season and Katy is ready. Where are you going this season?

Dewberry Farm is open this season but limiting attendance to 50% of their usual crowd out of precaution during the pandemic. Tickets must be reserved in advance online. Face masks are required when in buildings or when guests are unable to social distance.


From a corn maze, hayrides, pumpkin carving, and more family favorite activities, Dewberry Farm has fall covered. Pumpkins from their expansive patch are available for purchase.

Make reservations online. Tickets start at $18 and children under 2 years old are free.

Blessington Farms in Katy is open for their pumpkin patch and fall activities. You can purchase tickets in advance to save time. Starting this year they will also host a farmers' market. Check their website for details and updates.

The Oil Ranch in Hockley opens their pumpkin patch today, October 2. Guests will find train rides, hayrides, pony rides, petting zoo, and so much more, all while safely social distancing. Tickets can be purchased in advance online.

Pumpkins on the vine are available for picking and lots of photo opportunities too. Call ahead to inquire about availability at 936-894-2766. Guests can also explore the fields for picking blackberries and strawberries.

Katy's FUMC in Old Katy will host their annual Pumpkin Patch but it will be delayed. Follow their Facebook page for updates.

Katy families can also go to local grocery stores to find pumpkins and fall décor. Trader Joe's has a wonderful display to enjoy while shopping this fall.

Spooky Party

October 24

7:30 p.m.


Katy Gymnastics and Sports Performance with Poss Cheer will host a Spooky Party! Register in advance for $30 per child (3 years and up) and bring a large bag of candy. Enjoy a costume party, trick or treating, and a haunted maze.
