A 3-month-old baby girl is dead after suffering severe trauma at a Katy home. The case is currently under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time. A 4-year-old, who was home at the time of the incident has been temporarily placed with a family member.
A 3-Month-Old Baby Dies in Katy
Around 4:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call from a home at the 1700 block of Penmark Lane in the Stonelodge subdivision. According to authorities the call involved an unknown medical emergency involving a 3-month-old female.
The baby was found in severe trauma and was Life Flighted Memorial Herman hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
“The infant was under the care of her father at the time,” says Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. “Her mom was not home at the time. The infant suffered severe injuries to her head and body.”

Another 4-year-old child was in the home at the time of the incident. That child has been temporarily placed with a family member while an investigation is on-going.
Sheriff Gonzalez says that no charges have been filed. No details have been shared on how the infant sustained her injuries or where in the home she was found.
