A man is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound that occurred in the Buc-ee’s parking. Authorities say that there is no public threat as the investigation is ongoing.
This afternoon, July 31, 2025, part of the Buc-ees parking lot was closed off as the Katy Police Department investigated an incident where a man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The following statement was released:
The investigation remains ongoing. The shot was fired when the individual was in a vehicle parked at the Buc-ees.
Authorities have not shared the identity or any further details of the deceased.
