Adoption Fees Waived Today at Fort Bend Animal Shelter

Today is the last day of "Clear The Shelter" weekend. All adoption fees are waived at the Fort Bend Animal Shelter from 10 am - 2 pm.

This is the third year that this nationwide movement has taken place. As of 10 am Sunday morning, more than 76,000 animals were adopted nationwide this weekend at shelters participating in Clear the Shelters. Every day many animals have to be euthanized because of shelter overcrowding.

On Saturday, August 18, Fort Bend Animal Shelter adopted 40 animals out to their new homes. There are however many more pets waiting for a family.

Stop by 1210 Blume Rd., Rosenberg, Texas 77471 before 2 pm today. Other shelters in the area participated in this event on Saturday but are not participating Sunday.
