Multiple Fire Departments Responded to Offer Aid

The fire was extinguished and is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshall.

Harris County ESD 48 thanks other fire departments that came to their aide, showing the good relationships among the departments. In addition to Harris County ESD 48; Westlake Volunteer Fire Department, Cy-Fair Fire Department, Community Volunteer Fire Department, Katy Fire Department, Willowfork Fire Department/Fort Bend County ESD 2, and Fulshear-Simonton Fire Department.

While not all these departments were on site, many stepped up to field Harris County ESD 48's calls as they had all units on the scene.

Neighbors commented on the Harris County ESD Facebook page thanking them for the quick actions to prevent the fire from spreading. While the cause of this fire is still under investigation, it is not believed to have started because of the dry conditions. Conditions still are dangerously dry, making it easy for any fire to spread and cause more damage, in this case it turned deadly.
