Authorities Seek Community Help after Shots Fired Outside Katy Hookah Lounge

A victim was Life Flighted to the hospital after being shot in the parking lot of a Katy Hookah lounge. Authorities seek help after the shooter fled the scene.

Authorities Need Your Help

Harris County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a shooting at the 21800 block of Katy Freeway near the Katy Freeway and Mason Creek Drive around 4:18 a.m. Sunday, January 28, 2024. The disturbance occurred in the parking lot between two men.


Shots Fired in Parking Lot

S7 Katy Lounge and Café is located at the 21800 block, though the shots were not fired in the business but rather the parking lot during an altercation between those involved.

 

According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the wounded male was sent to local hospital via Life Flight and is listed in serious condition.

 

The man who fired the shots fled the scene eastbound in a white Mercedes Benz.

This comes after a challenging week for first responders as fire firefighters who responded to a medical call at a Southwest Houston apartment complex were fired at. The man who fired the shots was charged and now a debate has ensued on if all first responders should carry.
