Katy’s Central Green Park, developed by Willow Fork Drainage District (WFDD,) is located at the south end of LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch. It is a true entertainment destination close to shopping dining, theaters, and libraries. The park provides a multi-purpose venue for many standing weekly events, monthly events, special events, and more.

Event Happening This Saturday

This Saturday, August 6, 2022 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Central Green Park will host their annual Back-To-School event.

“This is our 10th Back to School Bash,” says Yvonne Arceneaux, Willow Fork Drainage District’s Park Director.“This year we are featuring three musical acts that are kids, teens, and young adults that are from Katy.”

Live music entertainment starts at 6:40 p.m. and the order includes:

  • Katy Marimba

  • Grace Fellowships- Jr. High Band

  • 35 Drive

The lead singer for 35 Drive, Sam Smith, launched his professional career from the Central Green Park stage at the age of 15. He now has a record deal and is releasing a single this month.

This year’s event is also introducing Bruce Manners, a walk around juggling and comedy act. Returning this year is the popular stilt walkers, face painters and Katy school mascots.

“The Willow Fork Drainage District and Cinco M.U.D. 12 who make the events possible have a heart to give back, build stronger relationships with our residents, increase culture, provide a positive social impact and celebrate the great things our community has to offer,” says Arceneaux.

Katy Christian Ministries and the Reggie Rusk Foundation will also be there to educate the public on opportunities that are available to them.
