Cinco Ranch Family Celebrates Community with Family-Friendly Haunted House

Katy families are extra when it comes to celebrating the holidays. A British expat family has transformed their Cinco Ranch garage once again into a family fun haunted house open to the public.

Third Year of Bringing the Spooks

For three years now the Oxley family in Cinco Ranch has transformed their garage into a family-friendly Spooktacular haunted house that is free and open to the public on Friday and Saturday (they will be closed on Saturday October 28th) evenings in October.

“We enjoy the engagement with the community and the fun that the Halloween season brings,” says Katy mom Natasha Oxley.

Their haunted house runs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and is also open on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

“Last year’s turnout was nothing short of crazy for what is a DIY haunted house,” says Oxley. “We had so much great feedback and reception from everyone who turned out, with a few people coming every weekend last year.”

Started Tradition for their Girls

The Oxleys started their fun haunted house for their Halloween loving girls who are 6, 5, and 3-years old.

“The haunted house grows as they do in level of scariness,” says Oxley. “They love being a part of building and hosting each year and are often found helping unsure children through the haunted house.”

The haunted house has multiple themes inside and they do change up the layout each year to give something new to their regulars. They love to listen to feedback and make sure to keep favorite frights each year, but always add a new twist.

The Oxley family has called Katy their home away from England for almost 8 years.

“We are British expats, and everyone has been so welcoming towards us,” says Natasha Oxley. “We wanted to give something back to the community.” She says that going all out on the holidays helps to fill the gap when they are not near family.

Where to Go

They live on Parsonsfield Lane in the Sedona section of Cinco Ranch. Follow the crowd of fans! Their haunted house is free and open to the public.

The Oxley Haunted House is open Fridays and Saturdays 6:00- 8:00 p.m. as well as Halloween. This year they will be closed on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
