Katy families can honor and celebrate those who protect the community this Saturday during the first Community Heroes Parade. Cheer on our heroes and see Willowfork Fire Department’s newest addition to their fleet.

Katy families will love the Community Heroes Parade this Saturday, June 14, 2025, 11: a.m.-1:00 p.m. Come see the newest addition to Willowfork Fire Departments fleet as well as the heroes who serve and protect the community. This parade is attributed to multiple fire departments, first responder organizations and veterans organizations.
“Our main goal is for the community to gain awareness of all the incredible, heroic resources that work in their neighborhood,” says McKenzie Allen- PR Supervisor for WestCom911. “We have multiple fire, EMS, and police agencies as well as numerous non-profit organizations that do amazing work for those in need. It’s important we not only celebrate these groups, but we also ensure the community sees them.”
The parade starts at Westheimer Parkway and Peek Road and ends at Cinco Ranch and Peek. This is the first Community Heroes Parade and it’s sponsored by WestCom911, a regional Fire and EMS dispatch agency across four counties outside the greater Houston area. ESD48 Fire Department, Community Volunteer Fire Department, Westlake Volunteer Fire Department, Willowfork Fire Department and HEB have all partnered to help make this event possible.
This is a fun, free family event and everyone is invited. The parade will be in the north bound lanes and families can set up lawn chairs along the route.
The parade will also recognize veterans and celebrate the United States Army’s 250th birthday.
“This will be a wonderful family event, and we plan to grow and improve the event each year,” says Allen.
