Katy ISD resumes classes today and families are back in their normal routines. Katy has many fun and free ways to stay fit, helping parents keep those New Year resolutions! From running clubs to yoga and tai chi in a park you have options to get out and work out.



Yoga at Central Green Park


With school back in session, Katyites have plenty of free fitness options.



According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, staying fit can improve your brain health, manage weight, reduce the risk of disease, strengthen bones and muscles, and improve your overall mental health. You don't have to spend a fortune to stay fit in Katy

Central Green Park located in LaCenterra offers many great events including some free fitness classes. Enjoy a work out, make some friends, and then shop and dine afterwards.


Yoga in the Park

Wednesdays and Fridays

8:00 a.m.

9:15 a.m.


SPECIAL CLASS: This Friday, January 9, 2026 will be a special New Year Yoga Class from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. There will be live music for your workout and a great time to start a new healthy habbit this year.

All levels are welcome in this recurring free yoga class that continues to gain popularity.



Tai Chi

Saturdays at 8:30 a.m.

Burn calories while finding your zen in Tai Chi! According to Harvard Health, Tai Chi is like "meditation in motion." There is growing evidence that this mind-body practice has value in treating or preventing many health problems. It has even been linked to helping with balance and therefore preventing falls.



FIA Katy West Free Workouts

FIA Katy offers free fitness for Katy woman. Locations vary throughout the Katy area. Those participating are asked to bring water and a yoga mat. Learn more about their free fitness programs online.



F3 offers free workouts for men in the Katy area.  Workouts are always outdoor, peer-led, and end in a Circle of Trust.  Their fitness programs are grounded in fellowship and faith.  Learn more about their free workouts online.

Local running clubs offer a great way to stay fit and be social at some of Katy’s hottest hangouts!

Mondays at 6:30 p.m.


Get $1 off beers after the miles. This week is Race Week in Houston. Follow No Label on Facebook for all the details.




No Label Running Club meets every week at No Label Brewery. Check in time is at 5:30 p.m. and the run starts at 6:30 p.m. Each week they have a picture and social time after the run.
