Family and friends gather to honor Jordan Muesse, 25, the Katy Man Crushed in Auto Shop Accident


Funeral services will be held today for Jordan Muesse 25, the Seven Lakes Graduate who was killed last week while working at an auto shop in Katy, Texas.

Jordan Muesse, 25, was killed in an accident on Tuesday, January 30, while working on a vehicle. Harris County Sheriff's deputies and those at the scene stated that Muesse was underneath the vehicle when a possibly defective lift slipped and caused the vehicle to fall on top of him. According to family members, OHSA cleared the shop of fault.

Family and friends gathered from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Grand Parkway Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018 with Pastor Darrin Begley officiating.

Beloved son

Jordan Brett Muesse was born on December 18, 1992 in Houston Texas; however, he considered himself a lifelong resident of Katy Texas. Jordan met the love of his life, Chelsea Marie O’Krinsky, at 14 years old. They were married on Saturday, November 19, 2016; just a day after their official dating life began (November 18, 2009).

He was general manager and co-owner of Premier Offroad and Performance in Katy, Texas. Through “the shop,” he became great friends with many of his customers and worked alongside his father-in-law, Mark, and brother-in-law, Chase. He participated is various truck meets and shows including SEMA in Las Vegas.

Muesse was a talented musician in his youth, and he passed his trumpet on to his younger brother, Paden, to focus on multiple sports (football, basketball, track, tae kwon do); he also played soccer and baseball prior to junior high. He shared his love of sports with his older brother, Brandon. Jordan and Chelsea’s life was not complete without Great Dane, Ryder and French bulldog, Phoebe, who was an early wedding gift to Chelsea from Jordan.

He is survived by his loving wife, Chelsea, mother, Kimberly, father, Brad, brother, Paden, brother, Brandon (Jessica), nephew/godson, Brantley, and grandmother, Jan Wiley as well as his in-laws, Mark & Lori O’Krinsky and brother-in-law, Chase. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, colleagues, and friends including his godparents, Sharlyne Friedrich and Wade Herndon. He is predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Pete Wiley, maternal grandparents, Frank & Shirley Muesse, maternal great grandparents, David & Melba Floyd, maternal great grandfather, Ernie & Mildred Wiley, paternal great grandparents, Elo & Kristina Muesse, and Clarence & Grace Hinze.

Service information The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Grand Parkway Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018 with Pastor Darrin Begley officiating.
